Changes in work habits that promise not to be just “temporary”

The quarantine, in fact, changed habits. People were used to walking on the street all the time, going out when they needed to buy something, always and without limitations.

At work, for example, the establishment of home office  was received with great fear by individuals, who were really not prepared. However, now, with four months of quarantine behind them, the “new” work model has become something normal for the vast majority, causing many companies to already start considering the idea of continuing with remote work when everything is over.

Distance learning, which was previously little targeted, is becoming a reality for companies and individuals

According to a survey by Google, the demand for distance learning specialization courses has grown by just over 130% since the beginning of the quarantine.

Educational institutions that found themselves needing to migrate to online teaching also gained market share, such as Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), one of the largest colleges in the country, which saw growth of up to 400% increase in the number of people who subscribe to your online courses (especially the free ones) compared to the first two months before the quarantine.

The modality has been growing for a long time, however, it still has a lot of prejudice from companies and, mainly, from people, who had some difficulty with online teaching in a digital school. However, with the difficulties imposed by quarantine, most individuals found themselves needing to learn to study remotely, which proves the sudden growth in this modality.

Due to this learning imposed by the pandemic, the tendency is that, in the future, EAD will be much more explored by companies, which have discovered that it is an area in which they can have less expenses, and by people, who are getting used to the idea and seeing advantages.

E-commerce also gained a lot of strength with the quarantine

The current scenario has also provided a considerable growth in the number of people buying online, largely due to the temporary closure of most stores.

Showing this growth in numbers, according to a survey carried out by the freight management technology company, Intelipost, which analyzed the circulation of online purchases from February 28 to May 10 of this year, there was an increase of almost 250% compared to the same dates last year. The areas that grew the most in online commerce were construction and children's items.

This shows how much Quarantine has opened many people's eyes to online shopping and the result is that the segment is accelerating and still has a lot of room for growth.
